The error message "Setup cannot find Office.en-us\OfficeLR.cab"

Navigate to the Office.en-us folder within your installation directory.

Deep-seated Windows Installer problems can also trigger the officelrcab error.

While Office 2007 can still be installed on Windows 10 and Windows 11 using the methods above, keep the following security facts in mind:

Open or File Explorer , right-click your disc drive, and select Open (do not run the setup).

Once you download a verified ISO, right-click it in Windows 10 or Windows 11 and select Mount . Navigate to the inner folders (usually inside the Office.en-us or standard Rosebud directory), locate the clean officelrc.cab , copy it, and replace the broken file in your local setup folder.

Security software might mistakenly quarantine the file during the setup process.

Because Windows Update no longer automatically pushes updates to Office 2007, manually download and install the Microsoft Office 2007 Service Pack 3 executable from a trusted archive to patch critical stability flaws.
