Using mixed methods—content analysis of 250 Instagram accounts, interviews with 20 influencers, and audience surveys (n=600)—the study finds that Desi-focused influencers blend cultural nostalgia with modern lifestyle content, rely on micro-influencer networks for higher engagement, and monetize through affiliate links, brand collaborations, and direct-to-consumer product lines.
