Once you have successfully logged in, it is highly recommended to change the default credentials to secure your network:

Type http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar and press Enter.

Navigate to system tools or administration settings. Change the default admin password to a unique, strong passphrase to prevent unauthorized access to your network management page.

If the label is damaged, worn off, or missing, the user manual is your next best bet. You can often find a digital copy of the manual on the manufacturer’s support website by searching for your router’s exact model number. The manual will almost always list the default login credentials in the "setup" or "administration" section.

Move away from defaults like "admin" or "password." Create a unique, strong password for the management console.

Your router is the gateway to your digital life. Take control of it with confidence.

After a successful login, you will need to set up your internet connection again (often using a PPPoE username and password provided by your ISP) and reconfigure your Wi-Fi network name and password.

Use a standard web browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.) and type 192.168.1.1 directly into the address bar , not the search box.

Try both:

Ensure your firewall or antivirus is not blocking access to the local IP address.
