Ayatul Kursi (آیت الکرسی) سورۃ البقرہ کی آیت 255 ہے اور قرآن مجید کی مشہور اور عظیم آیات میں سے ایک ہے۔ یہ آیت اللہ تعالیٰ کی وحدانیت، ربوبیت، علم و قدرت اور اس کی کامل حفاظت و حکمرانی کی واضح تصدیق کرتی ہے۔ الفاظ میں اس آیت کا جوہر یہ ہے کہ اللہ ہے — زندہ، قائم، نہ اسے نیند آتی ہے نہ غفلت؛ اسی کا ہے جو آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے؛ نہ کوئی اس کی اجازت کے بغیر اس کے حضور شفاعت کر سکتا ہے؛ اس کا علم ہر چیز کو محیط ہے، اس کی کرسی آسمانوں اور زمین سے وسیع ہے اور ان کی حفاظت اسے تھکاتی نہیں؛ وہ عظیم الشان ہے۔ اللّٰہ ہی وہ ہے جو زندہ ہے، سب

اللّٰہ ہی وہ ہے جو زندہ ہے، سب چیزوں کا قائم رکھنے والا ہے۔ اسے نہ اونگھ آتی ہے نہ نیند۔ جتنی بھی چیزیں آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہیں سب اسی کی ہیں۔ کون ہے جو اس کی اجازت کے بغیر اس کے حضور سفارش کر سکے؟ وہ جانتا ہے جو ان کے سامنے اور جو ان کے پیچھے ہے۔ اور وہ اس کے علم میں سے کچھ بھی اس کے علاوہ نہیں پکڑ سکتے مگر وہ جتنا چاہے اس کے علم میں وسیع ہے۔ اس کی کرسی آسمانوں اور زمین پر وسیع ہے اور دونوں کی حفاظت اسے تھکاتی نہیں۔ وہ بہت بلند اور بزرگی میں عظیم ہے۔ اللّٰہ ہی وہ ہے جو زندہ ہے، سب
